　　Sure. Most jobs today require a working knowledge of certain computer skills. Employers seek and reward employees with the skills and knowledge.

　　They may include word pro; sending E-mail; using a spreadsheet to create a graph and paste it into a report; adding and editing data in a database, etc.

　　Sure, there will be some changes. With computers getting more and more popular, more and more people will use E-mail as a method of communication. But I don’t think telephone will be out of use. The two methods of communication will co-exist.

　　I think people are being pushed into a different world—a keyboard world. Almost everything is done on the computer and it helps raise efficiency.

　　It’s important to have external experts when conducting computer training. Some people may think that smart computer users in the company will be more cost-effective, but experts from an IT consultancy are obviously more professional and the training may achieve better results.

　　As for participants, I think companies should get as many of their people as possible to participate in computer training, not only those currently involved in the use of computers, but also those who seem to have nothing to do with computers at the moment. With computers becoming more and more popular, computer skills will soon become something very basic for survival in a workplace.

　　In addition, equipping some staff members who are skillful in computers as on-site mentors is also important. They are there not only for tech support, but also for sharing the triumphs and breakthroughs with their colleagues to get them better motivated.

　　舉辦電腦培訓(xùn)的時候外聘專家是很重要的。有些人可能認(rèn)為在公司里聘請聰明的電腦使用者將更加合算，但是IT咨詢的專家顯然更為專業(yè)而且會使培訓(xùn)取得更好的成績。

　　When choosing new computer equipment, once important factor to consider is the reputation of the manufacturer. If a manufacturer has a good reputation, that means people have positive opinion about it in its past performance and it’s going to be more reliable and the quality of its products can be better guaranteed.

　　Provision of staff training is also important. A piece of new computer equipment can be made good use of when people involved understand it and know how to use it. This may mean extra training cost. If the manufacturer provides staff training as part of the sales package, and offers professional guidance as well as a chance for the people to see for themselves how the equipment works, it would be more cost-effective for the company.

　　After-sales service is also important. It means timely delivery and responsiveness to repair request if anything wrong happens.

　　When introducing a new computer software, first of all you have to consider whether it has any potential benefits to your company or not, for instance, whether it can help to make your everyday office or business tasks easier, faster and consistent across your organization, or whether it suits some particular needs of your company to achieve better performance. And these benefits should be made clear to your staff.

　　Convenience to use is another factor to consider. It should be easy to learn and operate, accessible to ordinary users and useful to solve a particular problem. Only in this way, can the new software have a real role to play.

　　Hardware requirements are also an important factor to consider when introducing a new computer software. Sometimes you’ll have to buy up-to-date computers if you decide to use a new software.

It would be safer for companies to have good security systems with firewall security, virus protection and intrusion detection to prevent expert hackers or authorized users with malicious intent from misusing systems, applications, and data.

　　Taking advice from consultants is another important thing to do. They are professional people in security and can be especially helpful when any security-related attacks happen. Their advice can help to reduce the damage and better protect the company computer network security.
