Students decide to take a job while being in university because of two reasons: on the one hand, they need money; on the other hand, they want to experience something new and they want to see what working means. It is a good opportunity(機會)to know about the society and realize the importance of co-working with others.

But is it good to take a iob while you are a university student? There are both advantages and disadvantages if we were to answer this question. If we were to think about the advantages, we could mention the ones we have just discussed. Having a job at an early age helps us gain experience, which will be very useful to our later life. We may become financially independent (經(jīng)濟獨立)and don't need to ask our parents for money each time we want to go downtown with our friends, or spend the holiday at the seaside or in the mountains.

However, students who take a job might have problems in spending enough time on their study. If they work during the day, they may have to be absent from their classes, and if they work at night they will feel tired the next day. They may choose to stay at home resting. What's worse, some students may even get bored with studying.

Well, this fact happens every now and then, but there are cases when well-prepared students take a part-time job but at the same time they make time for studying, too. And they have good results. Their case is a good example to follow among the students who decide to work while being in university. Anyway, we need to keep in mind that study is the most important job for a student.

There was a king who had twelve beautiful daughters. They slept in twelve beds or in one room and when they went to bed, the doors were shut and locked up. However, every morning their shoes were found to be quite worn through as if they had been danced in all night. Nobody could find out how it happened or where the princesses had been.

So the king made it known to all the land that if any person could discover the secret and find out where it was that the princesses danced in the night, he would have the one he liked best to take as his wife, and would be king after his death. But whoever tried and did not succeed, after three days and nights, they would be put to death.

A lord’s son soon came. He was well entertained, and in the evening was taken to the room next to the one where the princesses lay in their twelve beds. There he was to sit and watch where they went to dance. In order that nothing could happen without him hearing it, the door of his room was left open. But the lord's son soon fell asleep and when he woke in the morning he found that the princesses had all been dancing, for their shoes were full of holes.

The same thing happened the second and the third night so the king ordered his head to be cut off. After him came several others, but they all had the same luck, and all lost their lives in the same way. It happened that an old soldier, who had been wounded in a war and could fight no longer passed through the country where this king ruled, and as he was travelling through a wood, he met an old woman who was a witch(巫婆). The witch decided to help him to do the task as a reward so that he could marry one of the princesses. The witch told him that he should not drink the wine because there was poison in it. In this way he would not fall asleep.
