　　From thetable.we can see that desertification in this region is becoming worse and worse during thepast two decades.From the 1980s to the 2000s，thedesertification area increases from 560square kilometers to 980 squarekilometers.Moreover，the frequency of sand—storms in 2000sreaches twice as many as that in 1980s.

　　Apart from some natural reasons，the phenomenon is mainlycaused by us human.We cut off trees，overgraze and plant less andless trees. Since we have only one earth，we musttake measures to stop this trend.Firstly，we should not cut trees to make room for building houses.Secondly，we need toplant shelter trees to improve the quality of soil.Finally，we should make sure that everyone has the awareness of protecting the environment.Ifeveryone makes a contribution，I believe the world will become much more beautiful.
