　　The “beauty economy” actually is “the eyeball economy”. The beauties are used to attract the public attention and make a profit. Meanwhile, the beauty contest activity which we are familiar with is regarded as the most gigantic manifestation of beauty economy.

　　In the supporter’s eyes, the beauty economy gains high business profits through plans, organization, propaganda of the beauty contest. The participants can have the qualifications to participate in the competition as honour. The winners make their social status reach a high position. Thereupon, people become enthusiastic about beauty economy. The merchant has been laughing uproariously which hawked. The beautiful woman has the stage which declares a position.

　　However, others don’t agree with it. Firstly, the beauties are treated as “unliving objects” just like the flower vase, and people pay too much attention to the pretty appearance of the beauties, but their internal world is ignored. Secondly, it leads to the distorted beauty culture. Many girls even women worship blindly the beauties and spend a lot of money in face-lifting to emulate them. Then our traditional aesthetic conceptions are totally overturned, and our conventional virtues completely disappear. Last but not the least, the beauty economy misleads the values. Relying on “being beautiful”, pursuing the wealth, they go after like ducks. And it also causes them to be the money worship.

　　“美女經(jīng)濟(jì)”其實(shí)就是“眼球經(jīng)濟(jì)”，以美女吸引注意力，繼而獲利。而我們所熟悉的選美活動(dòng)，稱(chēng)得上是“美女經(jīng)濟(jì)”中最為轟轟烈烈的表現(xiàn)形式。

　　然而，其他一些人是不贊同這種經(jīng)濟(jì)的。首先，美女們被當(dāng)作是花瓶一樣的“無(wú)生命的東西”，人們只關(guān)注他們美麗的外表，而她們的內(nèi)心世界卻被忽略了。其次，這種美女經(jīng)濟(jì)導(dǎo)致了一種扭曲的美女文化。許多女孩甚至婦女都盲目崇拜美女并花大量的金錢(qián)整容去追逐她們，而我們傳統(tǒng)的審美觀念被完全顛覆了，我們傳統(tǒng)中固有的美德就完全消失了。最后，美女經(jīng)濟(jì)也對(duì)價(jià)值觀念產(chǎn)生誤導(dǎo)。憑借著“美”，追逐財(cái)富，讓她們趨之若鶩。并且使她們形成了一種拜金主義的思想。
