2017考研英語拓展閱讀：南京大學(xué)圖書館微信選座引爭議

　　Students in Nanjing University will no longer have toworry about their seats in the library being taken upby someone else when they temporarily leave theirseats.

　　南京大學(xué)的同學(xué)們今后再也不用擔(dān)心，離開一會兒之后，自己在圖書館的座位被別人給占了。

　　"WeChat library", a mobile-based online platform formanaging the use of library seats, started a trialoperation at Nanjing University on last Thursday tokeep good order in some libraries, triggering aheated debate on campus.

　　為了保證圖書館的良好秩序，南京大學(xué)上周四正式推出了一個移動在線座位管理系統(tǒng)平臺——“微信圖書館”。這一舉動在校園中引起了熱議。

　　The platform runs on the university's official account "Going to the library" on WeChat.Students can book seats, register their presence, report when they leave and reserve seatson the platform.

　　該平臺是通過“我去圖書館”微信公眾號運(yùn)行的。學(xué)生可以在該平臺上預(yù)約座位、確認(rèn)入座、在離開時報告并保留座位。

　　According to the rules, those who book the seat have the priority to use the seat, but theyalso have to observe a time limit. They must take the seat and scan the QR code on the seatwithin 20 minutes of the library opening. If not, they will get a violation record.

　　根據(jù)規(guī)定，用微信在線預(yù)約選座的人有優(yōu)先使用所選座位的權(quán)利，但是必須要遵守時間限定。在早上開館20分鐘內(nèi)，他們必須掃描二維碼到館驗證就座，否則將記違規(guī)1次。

　　They also have to be back at the seat and report on the platform in 20 minutes if leaving forthe toilet, 30 minutes for book searching, and 90 minutes for lunch or supper.

　　該規(guī)定還指出，讀者離開座位選擇保留有相應(yīng)的時間規(guī)定，如去衛(wèi)生間20分鐘、查資料30分鐘，用餐時間為90分鐘。

　　Any violation will be recorded, and when three violations are registered, the system willautomatically put the violator onto a blacklist.

　　任何違規(guī)都會被記錄下來，且累計達(dá)到3次，系統(tǒng)會自動將其列入黑名單。

　　Students reacted differently to the new rules.

　　對這一新規(guī)定，同學(xué)們看法不一。

　　A university student, surnamed Ye, argued that the time limit was too strict as everyone hasdifferent habits. "I think there must be someone who will break the time limit. Not everyone canbe so self-disciplined," he said.

　　一位姓葉的大學(xué)學(xué)生表示，時間限定太嚴(yán)格了，因為每個人的習(xí)慣不同。他說：“我想，肯定有人會超出時間限定的。每個人不可能都約束得那么好�！�

　　Another student, surnamed Shen, believes the new tool manages order well as it effectivelyprevents seats from being occupied when students leave temporarily.

　　另一位姓沈的同學(xué)認(rèn)為，這一工具可以管理秩序，也能有效防止同學(xué)們短時間離開后座位被占現(xiàn)象的發(fā)生。

　　Many students support the platform, as snatching seats has long been a issue. It is a positivechange, they said, and at least it is better to use the platform and obey rules than not.

　　很多學(xué)生支持這一平臺，因為占座對于大學(xué)生來說一直是一大問題。他們表示，使用這種平臺并遵守規(guī)定總比沒有的要好。
