　　1. 基本介紹：What is Weibo?

　　Weibo, known as microblog, is the most popular social networking (社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)) website in China. It’s pretty similar to Twitter and has huge numbers of members around the country. Generally, it is avirtual platform (虛擬平臺(tái)) where people interact (互動(dòng)) with each other. There’s also a mobile version (移動(dòng)版本) for it, so you can not only browse the site (瀏覽網(wǎng)站) on computers but also download an APP on the phone to use it at any time.

　　2. 主要功能：What content does it have?

　　After registering (注冊(cè)) as a Weibo member, a variety of functions are available. For example, you canfollow (關(guān)注) any member you’re interested in to see their blogs. That’s why some famous celebrities (名人) could have millions of followers. Of course, your own blog will also be followed by others so you can share your experience and feeling (分享經(jīng)歷與感受) with them by posting (發(fā)布) words, pictures, music and even videos. It is notable that there’s a word limit (字?jǐn)?shù)限制) for each piece of diary, which is 140 words, so writing concisely (文筆簡(jiǎn)潔) is a must.

　　其他功能還包括：評(píng)論(leave comments)、@提及(mention)、熱點(diǎn)話(huà)題討論(discussion of hot topics)、瀏覽新聞、游戲等等。

　　3. 使用方法：How do you browse or use it?

　　To use it, you need to register first. Then you input (輸入) your username (用戶(hù)名) and password (密碼) each time you log on (登入). You can also have the information saved to make it log on automatically next time. If you visit it on someone else’s computer, don’t forget to log off (登出)when you leave the site. It’s even easier to use it on the mobile phone. As long as you’ve saved all your information, all you need to do is to click the APP icon (圖標(biāo)).
