AUp late with The Greats藝術(shù)活動(dòng)事宜,在藝術(shù)畫廊中可以欣賞到經(jīng)典藝術(shù)名作,參加藝術(shù)交流活動(dòng)“We’ll be pouring the latest creation … a limited edition beer inspired by The Greats.”
22. B 細(xì)節(jié)理解題 由文中第五段“The Gallery’s… for beginners and experienced artists alike.”
He found his first job as a woodworker來看,打獵不是他的第一份工作。
29. C 細(xì)節(jié)理解題 由文中多處作了提示“…most say it really works… classes.”,“They think… a lot of fun doing it.” 30.
42. B 上句說“I don’t have a lot of money.”
選項(xiàng)中只有D項(xiàng)show up符合題意。
54. A 根據(jù)本段最后一句話“The clouds in my mind cleared away at once.”,Mr.
57. D 根據(jù)下一句“He appeared just before I wanted to give up on the mean world”我剛要放棄這個(gè)卑鄙的世界, 他出現(xiàn)了, 作者認(rèn)為他是“幸運(yùn)”的, 所以選D項(xiàng) blessed, 意思是“幸運(yùn)的, 有福氣的”。

M: That sounds perfect.
Text 6
M: Oh, this is great! Why do we have to have car trouble here in the middle of nowhere?
W: These things happen. Don’t worry. Let’s just get out and start walking.
M: But that sign I saw back there said “Stanton — 28 miles”.
W: Oh, really? I didn’t see that. Well, why don’t we call Information and get the number for a garage in Stanton?
M: Good idea… Uh-oh.

M: Oh, not at all! What would you like me to sign?
W: Well, you can sign the ticket I’m going to give you for speeding, but maybe you can just fill out another blank one for me, too.
M: Whoa, wait a minute! I thought you were going to let me off with a warning!
W: Why would you think that, Mr. Lansing? You were driving 60 miles per hour in a 25-mile-per-hour area. I can’t just let you off with a warning for that.
Text 8
W: Do you have any plans for the summer?
M: Yeah. I’ll be visiting some friends of mine in Europe in late July.
W: Really? What friends?
M: Some people I went to college with. My friend Martin lives in Copenhagen, so I’ll be flying to Denmark first and staying there for a week. Then I’ll take a bus to Germany because my friends Anna and Jane live in Berlin. I’ll stay there for a couple of weeks and then fly back to Cairo in early August.
W: What are you going to do while you’re there? Just hang out?
M: Well, my friends and I used to be in a band, so we usually play music whenever we get together. I play the guitar, and my friend Martin is a good singer. Anna plays the drums, and Jane plays bass guitar.
W: It sounds like you should all be in the same place.
M: Actually, Martin will be taking the bus with me to Berlin. So we’ll be able to play music there!
W: It must be nice to know people in Europe. All my friends are here in Egypt. When I go to Paris in June, I’ll have to stay at a hotel…
Text 9
W: Hi, James! Hey, you look kind of sad. What’s going on?
M: Oh, hey, Wendy. It’s kind of silly, but I can’t get past this one level in Angry Birds. I have been trying for over a week now, and I do not know if I can beat it.
W: Well, I am glad that is the only thing you are sad about. Which level is it?
M: The one with the pigs that are underground. I can’t seem to get this one last pig. Have you ever played this game?
W: Oh, yes. I love that game. I usually play it on the bus when I am going to school. Lately, I have been playing a lot of Pac-Man as well.
M: Really? That game is really old. Is it still fun?
W: It’s actually a lot of fun! I totally recommend it. Do you ever play older video games? I think they can be pretty difficult.
M: I still play the first Super Mario Brothers game. It is surprisingly hard. It took me nearly a week to get through the first level.
W: It is interesting how video games have changed so much since we were young. Do you want to try playing Pac-Man? I have it on my phone here.
M: That would be awesome, Wendy! Thank you. I hope I can be as good as you.
W: Don’t worry, I promise to help you!

Let’s take a walk around the Entertainment Building now. The room we’re coming to is the main theater. This room screens videos of special interest and is also used for lectures. Today, there’s a continuous video about the people who are teaching in the university, so anyone who’d like to learn more about the life of those people living and working in the university will find that interesting. Next week, a student film festival is being hosted here.
Now we’re coming to the Picture Gallery. This collection is a great way to get a sense of what life on campus was like over the last 100 years, as well as all the various changes that happened with the growth of the university. There are many paintings and photos, all done by local artists. Some of them are now famous. It’s a great collection, and people think quite highly of it.
Well, I’m going to leave you now to walk around the university museum on your own for a while. Please make sure that you don’t touch anything, and remember that photography is not allowed. We’ll meet back at the entrance in an hour and a half. I hope you enjoy your time at the university today. Thank you.
