　　China is facing the serious problem of aging population. By the end of 2016, China’s elderly population aged 60 and above was more than 230 million. Nowadays elderly people have become the focus of the social concern.

　　We usually call people over the age of sixty elderly people. Most of them have retired or don’t work full-time. Some elder people enjoy their lives. They have more time to do things they are interested in. They spend time travelling at home and abroad or doing exercises. Sometimes they get together with their friends. However, some elderly people don’t feel happy. They feel boring and stay at home all day after retirement. Life seems to be meaningless for them. At the same time, they feel lonely because their children are too busy to accompany them.

　　We should pay more attention to elderly people and take care of them physically and mentally.
