　　武陵源風(fēng)景名勝區(qū)，位于中國(guó)中部湖南省西北部，由張家界市的張家界森林公園、慈利縣的索溪峪自然保護(hù)區(qū)和桑植縣的天子山自然保護(hù)區(qū)組合而成，總面積約500平方公里。這里遍地奇花異草，蒼松翠柏、蔽日遮天;奇峰異石，突兀聳立;溪繞云谷，絕壁生煙。1993年被聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織作為世界自然遺產(chǎn)列入世界遺產(chǎn)名錄。

　　Located in northwest Hunan Province in central China, the Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area is comprised of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Zhangjiajie, Suoxiyu Natural Reserve in Cili County, and Tianzishan Natural Reserve in Sangzhi County. It covers an area of approximately 500km2. It contains exotic flowers and rare herbs, green pines and verdant cypresses overshadowing the entire area. There are also plenty of picturesque peaks and rocks rising high in the sky. It is surrounded by brooks, valleys and cliffs. In 1993, the Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO as a natural heritage site.
