　　Dust Settled Down is a novel written in 1998 by A Lai, a Tibetan writer. The novel describes the story of a drunk, but most-powerful Kham Tibetan chieftain and his Han nationality wife who gave birth to a fool son. The son, who was considered by everyone to be both a fool and completely out of touch with real life, had premonitions and behaviors beyond his time and became the witness of the rise and fall of the chieftain system. The novel shows the unique Tibetan customs and the chieftain system of romance and mystery. In 2000, the novel won the fifth Mao Dun Literature Award.
