　　The Lu Xun Literature Award was established in 1986, and is a literature prize named after Lu Xun, a leading figure of the Chinese New Culture Movement. The Lu Xun Literature Award is one of the most prestigious Chinese literary awards. It aims to reward excellence in the creation of novellas, short stories, literary reports, poetry, prose essays, and theoretical literary criticism, as well as award the translation of literary works from home and abroad to promote Chinese literature. It promotes the development of Chineseliterature. Individual awards are given once every two years, and the Lu Xun Literature Award is given once every four years.
