　　Song of Seven Sons-Macau

　　“Song of Seven Sons - Macau” is a poem written by Wen Yiduo in March 1925 while he studied in the United States. This poem tells how Macau, a part of Chinese territory, has long been separated from the motherland, and how people wish for a reunion. It expresses both nostalgia for and praise of the motherland along with the repulsion towards the imperialist aggression. The poem was used for the theme song of “Years of Macau” , a TV documentary that was so influential that this poem was once again used for the theme song of Macau’s handover ceremony on December 20, 1999.
