　　The Era of Three Kingdoms is a period in the history of China. It is also called the period of "confrontation among the Three Kingdoms of Wei, Shu and Wu". Prior to this was the Eastern Han dynasty and it was followed by the Western Jing Dynasty. The three kingdoms refer to the State of Wei governed by Cao Cao, the State of Shu governed by Han in Sichuan province and the State of Wu governed by Sun Quan. The country was torn apart by these three regimes whose leaders claimed to be emperors. The state of Wei (A.D. 200-226), the strongest country in three kingdoms, was founded by Cao Cao; the founder of Han (A.D. 221-263) was Liu Bei; and the State of Wu (A.D. 229-280), which has the longest history, was founded by Sun Quan.
