　　The Pacification Office of Guangdong Dao was a liaison unit between state and road administrations—respectively a first and second level unit of administrative division during the Yuan Dynasty. This administrative body found itself under the jurisdiction of the Jiangxi Executive Central Secretariat. The military-political chief executive of the local administrative division of the Pacification Office was titled "Pacification Superintendency". It was established in the fifteenth year of Yuanzhiyuan (1278), and found Guangzhou Road (now Guangzhou) under its jurisdiction. Later, the office became a military command center under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province. It was in charge of seven —Guangzhou, Shaozhou, Huizhou, Nanxiong, Chaozhou, Deqing, and Zhaoqing as well as eight states—Yingde, Mei, Nanen, Feng, Xin, Guiyang, Lian, and Xun. Macao and Hong Kong also found themselves under the jurisdiction of the Pacification Office of Guangdong Dao.
