　　Xiamen Overseas Chinese Museum is a comprehensive museum with the history of overseas Chinese as the theme as well as China’s only museum run by overseas Chinese. Located in the western side of the Fengchao Mountain, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, It was advocated and established by Chen Jiageng, a late patriotic leader of the overseas Chinese in September 1956 and was officially opened in May 1959. With a floor area of 50,000 square meters. The main tower, with a construction of over 4,000 square meters, is a palace-style building built with premium white granite. The newly built archway-style gate is inlaid with the plaque with inscriptions by Liao Chengzhi. It is honored as “the unique museum of history of overseas Chinese in the world” by Han Suying, a famous British Chinese writer.
