　　Established on September 21st, 1958, the Military Museum of the Chinese People’s Revolution is the only state-level military museum in China. Exhibits are on display in 22 halls and 2 squares. There are more than 340 thousand items in the collection of the museum, including 1793 pieces of national first-level cultural relics, more than 250 pieces of large weapons and equipment, more than 1600 pieces of artwork and 2551 pieces of gifts received from foreign military contacts. Famous exhibits include a gilt bronze crossbow, an anchor from the Qing dynasty ironclad Zhenyuan, Ye Ting's command knife, a Type 38 pistol, and the first tank of the Liberation Army.
