　　The Taipei Palace Museum, also known as Zhongshan Museum, is located in Number 221, Zhishan Road, Shihlin District, Taipei City. It was built in 1962, completed in 1965 and covers a total area of about 16 hectares. The Taipei Palace Museum collects the essence of treasures from the Qing Dynasty Imperial Palace in Beijing, Shenyang Imperial Palace and the former Rehe palace, as well as the antiques from Chinese and foreign donors. It is the largest museum in Taiwan and also one of China's three major museums. It stands as a major site for the study of ancient Chinese art history and sinology.
