　　Inaugurated in 1956, the August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall in Nanchang is a famous museum devoted to Chinese military history. Opened in 1959, it showcases the history of the People’s Liberation Army through four memorial places under its management: the headquarters of the uprising, He Long’s command office, Ye Ting’s command office, the Officer Education Camp founded by Zhu De and the residence of Zhu De. The main historical relics housed in the museum include the watch given to a magician by former Premier Zhou Enlai, former Chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Zhang Guoji’s inscription and a pistol used by Zhu De.
