　　The Legend of Meng Jiangnu, a widely known folk tale in China, originated from historical records of "Qi Liang’s Wife Cried for Her Husband". It is one of the four major love stories of ancient China. The story dates back to the Warring States Period and focuses on Meng Jiangnu’s search for her husband through a thousand miles of travel. As legend goes, her sadness flattened a portion of the Great Wall. The legend was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2006.
