　　上黨八音會是一種漢族民間吹打樂，在山西省東南部于長治、晉城一帶廣為流傳。八音會是民間組織的音樂班子，主要使用鼓、鑼、鈸、笙、簫、笛、管等八種樂器，故名八音會。其主要功能是服務(wù)社會、服務(wù)民眾，娛神、娛鬼，以及人自娛。2006年，上黨八音會被列入第一批國家級非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)名錄。

　　Shangdang eight-part ensemble is a style of wind and percussion music, most popular around Changzhi and Jincheng in the southeast of Shanxi Povince. The eight-part ensemble is a type of folk band composed of eight instruments: drum, gong, ba, sheng, xiao, di, and guan. The music is used to serve the public in entertaining the gods, ghosts, and the humans themselves. Shangdang eight-part ensemble was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2006.
