　　熱貢藝術(shù)是中國藏傳佛教藝術(shù)的重要組成部分和頗具廣泛影響的流派，從十五世紀(jì)開始，發(fā)祥于青海省黃南藏族自治州同仁縣。數(shù)百年來，這里有大批藝人從事民間佛教繪塑藝術(shù)，從藝人員之眾多，群體技藝之精妙，都為其它藏區(qū)所少見，故被譽(yù)為“藏族畫家之鄉(xiāng)”，而同仁地區(qū)在藏語中稱為“熱貢”，因此這一藝術(shù)便統(tǒng)稱為“熱貢藝術(shù)”。

　　Regong art is an important element of Tibetan art. This sect has very extensive influence and originates from 15th century Tongren County of Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. For hundreds of years, there have been a large number of artists engaging in the Buddhist folk painting and sculpting arts. Many of these techniques are rarely seen in other Tibetan areas. For this reason, Tongren is honored as the "hometown of Tibetan painters"—Regong in Tibetan language. As such, this art is generally known as "Regong art".
