　　Huachao Opera, originating from the Shenchao sacrificial ceremony in the countryside of Zijin county in Guangdong Province, is performed in the Hakka language and popular in the Hakka region of east Guangdong Province. Its significant feature is the combination of folk music and folk literature. As the opera is largely inspired by everyday work, the singing is catchy and vivacious. Moreover, its vivid lyrics and speech and wonderful singing and dancing is deeply loved by the public. In 2006, Huachao Opera was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
