　　大三巴牌坊位于澳門大巴街附近的小山丘上，是澳門天主之母教堂(圣保祿教堂，于1580年竣工)正面前壁的遺址�！叭�巴”是“圣保祿”的譯音，又因教堂前壁遺跡若中國傳統(tǒng)的牌坊，所以稱大三巴牌坊。大三巴牌坊是澳門的標(biāo)志性建筑物之一，同時(shí)也為“澳門八景”之一。2005年與澳門歷史城區(qū)的其他文物成為聯(lián)合國世界文化遺產(chǎn)。

　　The Ruins of St. Paul’s refers to what was originally St. Paul’s College and the façade of the Church of St. Paul. This site was known as “Great Sanba Archway” in Chinese as "Sanba" is the transliteration of "St. Paul," and the facade of the church looks like a traditional Chinese archway. One of the "Eight Scenes in Macau", the Ruins of St. Paul’s has become a famous landmark of the area. In 2005, it was listed as part of the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
