　　The Tang Suit is a Chinese garment with naming origins of two elements. The first of these is as a Han cultural garment of the Tang Dynasty, which were uniquely designed using and characterized by crossed-collars, lapels on the right only, lacing, either fabric or no buttons. Also from this time period came the high-breasted petticoat, Tang round-collar robe, crossed-collar petticoat, and many more. The other is the modern Tang Suit, an alterations of the original which adds a standing collar and western style embroidery into the original mandarin jacket fabric. Modern iterations of the Tang Suit have no connection to the garments of the Tan Dynasty, and is instead used as a common name for Chinese garments.
