　　On Food Safety

　　Over the past couple of years, several cases of the food scandal have been disclosed on various media. The problem of food safety has become a hot button across society.

　　There are a couple of reasons accounting for this phenomenon. To begin with, economic driving force behind this undesirable tide is an obvious factor. Furthermore, the neglect of moral education gives rise to the rising rate of the problem. More importantly, the lack of adequate regulation and punishment on those illegal producers enforces the trend.

　　As the saying goes, it is better late than never. In my opinion, prompt and strict measures should be taken to turn back this evil trend. The government should launch a massive moral campaign to educate all citizens and draw up tougher laws to crack down those irresponsible corporations and prohibit them from entering the food industry again. I am firmly convinced that through our combined efforts we are bound to enjoy more risk-free foods in the future.

　　在過去幾年里，一些關(guān)于食品安全的丑聞頻頻在各種媒體中曝光。食品安全問題已經(jīng)成為全社會關(guān)注的焦點。造成這個現(xiàn)象的原因有幾個。首先，在這不良趨勢的背后，利益驅(qū)動力的存在是一個明顯的因素。另外，道德教育的忽視導(dǎo)致了該問題的加劇。更重要的是，對這種非法生產(chǎn)商缺乏足夠的監(jiān)管和懲罰，也促使了這種不良趨勢的蔓延。

　　常言道，亡羊補牢，為時不晚。在我看來，我們應(yīng)該趕緊采取嚴(yán)格措施來扭轉(zhuǎn)這股不正之風(fēng)。政府應(yīng)推行一場大規(guī)模的道德運動來教育民眾認(rèn)識到這一點，并且政府還應(yīng)該制定出更嚴(yán)厲的法律來打擊那些不負(fù)責(zé)任的企業(yè)，禁止他們再次進(jìn)入食品行業(yè)。我堅信，通過我們的共同努力，未來我們必定能夠享受到安全的食品。
