　　【辨】violent, severe, extreme, radical四個詞都有“激烈的，激進的”之意。violent指“激烈的，猛烈的”，強調(diào)情感或力量上的強大;severe表“激烈的，殘酷的”，較嚴肅;extreme表思想或行為極端的，超出正常標準;radical則強調(diào)違背了常規(guī)的極端或是激進.也有“激進分子”的意思。
