　　2.submit v.服從，屈從;呈送，提交，提出

　　【記】詞根記憶：sub(下級)+mit(送)--下級送到上級--呈送

　　【例】After many times of failure，Barrie submittedto fate.

　　多次失敗后，巴里向命運屈服了。

　　【辨】submit, yield兩個詞都有“屈服”的意思。submit強調(diào)放棄抵抗，臣服于某意志或勢力;yield指在壓力、武力或懇求下讓步。

　　【用】固定搭配be detached from表示“與…分離”。
