　　八旗制度是努爾哈赤在統(tǒng)一女真過程中在氏族制基礎(chǔ)上發(fā)展起來的一種軍政合一制度。努爾哈赤將所轄的軍民編成八旗(初設(shè)有四旗，分別以黃、紅、藍(lán)、白四個(gè)顏色的旗幟作為標(biāo)志。后來又增設(shè)四旗，黃、白、藍(lán)旗鑲紅邊，紅旗鑲白邊，即以鑲黃、鑲紅，鑲藍(lán)、鑲白的旗幟為標(biāo)志，合稱八旗)。

　　The Eight Banners system, established on the basis of the clan system, was an administrative and military system developed by Nurhaci. Nurhaci united the fragmented Jurchen people by grouping his subjects, civilians and soldiers, into eight banners. Initially, there were only four banners, which were named after their flag colors: yellow, red, blue, and white. Later on four banners were added with bordered banners as their symbols. These flags all had red borders, except the bordered red banner, which had a white border.
