　　鄭成功(1624年-1662年)，名森，表字明儼、大木，幼名福松。鄭成功原為中國南明政權(quán)的大將軍，1645年清軍攻入江南，只能憑借海戰(zhàn)優(yōu)勢(shì)固守海島廈門、金門。1661年率軍橫渡臺(tái)灣海峽，翌年擊敗荷蘭東印度公司在臺(tái)灣大員(今臺(tái)灣臺(tái)南市境內(nèi))的駐軍，開啟鄭氏在臺(tái)灣的統(tǒng)治。鄭成功死后，臺(tái)灣民間陸續(xù)建立廟宇祭祀，其中以臺(tái)南延平郡王祠最為重要。

　　Zheng Chenggong (1624-1662), also known as Sen, or Mingyan or Damu, or Fusong in his childhood, was originally a general of the Southern Ming Dynasty. After troops of the Qing Dynasty seized the Jiangnan areas in 1645, he had to defend Xiamen and Jinmen Island managing to prevail in sea battles. In 1661, he led troops to cross the Taiwan Strait and in the next year defeated a garrison of the East India Company (Netherlands) in Dayuan (Tainan City, Taiwan today) Taiwan, starting the reign of the Zheng Family in Taiwan. After he died, civilians in Taiwan successively built temples in memory of him, among which Prince Temple in Yanping, Tainan is the most important.
