　　三峽水利樞紐工程，即三峽水電站，又稱三峽工程。是世界上規(guī)模最大的水電站，也是中國有史以來建設(shè)最大型的工程項(xiàng)目。1992年獲得中國全國人民代表大會批準(zhǔn)建設(shè)，1994年正式動工興建，2003年六月一日下午開始蓄水發(fā)電，于2009年全部完工。大壩高程185米，蓄水高程175米，水庫長2335米，靜態(tài)投資1352.66人民幣，安裝32臺單機(jī)容量為70萬千瓦的水電機(jī)組。

　　The Three Gorges Water Project, or the Three Gorges Hydropower Station is the world’s largest hydropower station as well as the largest construction project in China’s history. In 1992, the project was gained approved by China’s National People’s Congress, and started construction in 1994. Power generation started on the afternoon of June 1st, 2003. The entire project was completed in 2009. With a dam elevation of 185m and water-retention elevation of 175m and reservoir length of 175m of reservoir, it involves a static investment of RMB 13.5266 billion with an installed capacity of 32,700,000 KW hydropower units.
