　　Kowloon Peninsula, one of the three major parts of Hong Kong, is surrounded by Victoria Harbour on three sides, except the North. In 1898, after the conclusion of a series of treaties on concessions, the British leased, for 99 years, the northern part of the Kowloon Peninsula, New Territories and more than two hundred outlying islands nearby, which would be returned to China in 1997. Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok, are the most attractive sites and serve as the shopping paradise for tourists and also house many famous hotels.
