　　Nv Wa patching up the sky, one of the fairy tales from ancient China, reflects the idealistic outlook on the world of the early ancestors of the Chinese people. Legend has it that Nv Wa, the goddess of creation, is the ancestor of the Chinese people; and in a catastrophe between the sky and the earth, there was a huge hole in the sky followed by floods on the ground, and then Nv Wa refined the five-color stones to patch up the hole and therefore saved human beings. Even today, the relevant traditional festivals and ceremonies are celebrated in China.
