　　The Taoist music in Wudang Mountain monasteries is a product of combining the court music from between the Tang Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty with the excellent regional folk music from Qingba, Hubei Province, which has strong traditional ethnic features. Grouped into vocal and instrumental music, the music has a rich repertoire with elegant classical melodies, some conveying well-wishing and happiness and some idyllic and suitable for spiritual practice. The Taoist music in Wudang Mountain monasteries was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2006.
