　　Quangzhou Beiguan

　　Beiguan is the type of traditional stringed and woodwind music in Quangang District, Quanzhou City, in Fujian Province. Within the Chinese mainland, Beiguan is now only existent in Quanzhou, thus it is called ‘Quanzhou Beiguan’. Stemming from Jiangsu and Anhui Provinces rather than Fujian, it bloomed in Quangang after fusing with the local folk music. Now it retains the original stylistic form of the Jiangsu and Anhui music as well as its own regional characteristics. Quanzhou Beiguan was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2006.
