　　Xinjiang song (sometimes called Xinjiang Xiaoquzi) is a local opera of unique flavor. It was gradually formed and innovated through integration of Shaanxi, Qinghai, and Gansu operas as well as the musical arts of ethnic groups of Xinjiang. Mainly popular in eastern, northern, and southern Xinjiang, this local opera was created and grown by the Han, Hui, and Sibe groups of Xinjiang.
