　　中國是全球最大的煤炭生產(chǎn)國和消費(fèi)國。煤炭占中國能源消費(fèi)(energy consumption)的很大一部分。在未來，煤炭在中國總體能源消費(fèi)中所占的份額將有所減少。但煤炭消費(fèi)仍將繼續(xù)呈絕對上升態(tài)勢。中國今天面臨著嚴(yán)峻的環(huán)境問題，而煤炭在造成空氣污染方面起了很大作用。盡管中國的煤炭資源很豐富，但 是我們應(yīng)該開始尋找替代資源(substitute resources)。這樣不僅能造福環(huán)境，從長遠(yuǎn)看也會換來經(jīng)濟(jì)回報(bào)。
