　　To all my friends across China,

　　全國各地的朋友們，

　　At this difficult time, we need to come together in common humanity; we need to stand together in compassion and solidarity.

　　在此艱難時(shí)刻，我們需要共同高舉人道主義旗幟;我們需要同心同德、團(tuán)結(jié)一致。

　　I understand you will be feeling anxious about the current outbreak of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus.

　　你們對于2019新型冠狀病毒的爆發(fā)深感憂慮，此情此心，我感同身受。

　　But I urge all of you to follow the guidance from the World Health Organization and stay positive!

　　即便如此，我還是要敦促大家遵循世界衛(wèi)生組織的指導(dǎo)，秉承積極向上的精神。

　　At the United Nations, we are working together with the government and partners to procure much-needed medical supplies and resources.

　　聯(lián)合國正與各國政府以及各合作伙伴保持密切合作，采購亟需的醫(yī)療用品和資源，支持中國的戰(zhàn)疫工作。

　　And we are also discussing how best to support China with the longer-term socio-economic impacts. In particular, we stand by to support the recovery of the health and education systems, which are under tremendous strain.

　　我們也在探討如何更好地支持中國在疫后的恢復(fù)，實(shí)現(xiàn)長期的社會與經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展。目前，中國的衛(wèi)生和教育系統(tǒng)正承受著巨大壓力，我們隨時(shí)準(zhǔn)備提供支持，幫助這些領(lǐng)域早日恢復(fù)正常。

　　As we continue our efforts in poverty reduction across China, we also give special attention to the vulnerable groups.

　　我們將繼續(xù)努力支持中國的脫貧攻堅(jiān)工作。我們特別關(guān)注弱勢群體的需求。

　　I also want to take this opportunity to commend all the frontline health and emergency service workers who are working tirelessly to respond to the outbreak.

　　我還想借此機(jī)會，感謝所有在前線提供醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生和緊急服務(wù)的工作人員，感謝他們?yōu)閼?yīng)對疫情做出的不懈努力。

　　And I wish all of you who are unwell a speedy recovery.

　　我祝愿受到疫情影響的朋友們早日康復(fù)。

　　To the world, I want to emphasize the need for international solidarity, and to support China and those other countries that might be impacted in these difficult circumstances.

　　對整個(gè)國際社會，我想強(qiáng)調(diào)，國際團(tuán)結(jié)十分必要。我們呼吁世界各國支持中國，以及那些同樣可能受到此次疫情影響的其他國家。

　　Importantly, we must avoid the stigmatization of people that are victims of the situation.

　　重要的是，我們必須停止對疫情受害者的污名化。

　　As United Nations Secretary-General has said: “At this time of heightened anxiety, we must avoid discrimination, and stand together in solidarity and compassion.”

　　正如聯(lián)合國秘書長古特雷斯所說：“在焦慮加劇的時(shí)候，我們必須團(tuán)結(jié)一致、關(guān)愛幫助、避免歧視”。

　　I urge everyone to follow the advice of the Government of China and “stay calm, rest assured, and stay confident.”

　　我敦促大家聽從中國政府的意見，“保持冷靜、正常生活、充滿信心”。

　　At the United Nations, we are working very closely with the Chinese authorities.

　　聯(lián)合國正在與中國政府各部門密切合作。

　　We continue to have confidence in China’s capacity to respond to this outbreak.

　　我們持續(xù)對中國應(yīng)對此次疫情暴發(fā)的能力充滿信心。

　　I urge all of you to follow the guidance of the World Health Organization:

　　我敦促大家遵循世界衛(wèi)生組織的指導(dǎo)：

　　To greet each other without physical contact;

　　互相問候時(shí)，請避免身體接觸;

　　Maintain a distance of one meter between you and others;

　　與人相見時(shí)，請與他人保持一米的距離;

　　Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer;

　　務(wù)必經(jīng)常用肥皂和水或含酒精的免洗洗手液洗手;

　　Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze;

　　咳嗽或打噴嚏時(shí)，務(wù)必用紙巾遮住口鼻;

　　And finally, when you wear a mask, learn how to put it on, take it off and dispose of it correctly.

　　最后，請務(wù)必學(xué)習(xí)好口罩正確佩戴、摘取及丟棄的方法。
