Managers and company owners have always been frustrated by staff turnover and they are trying to figure out what they can do to retain people longer. Fundamentally staffs do the jobs they are paid for. If they feel being under paid, they will gradually lose interest and enthusiasm in their work and finally find a better-paid job that they are worth. Therefore, financial incentives are important retaining staff. If staffs are satisfied with their financial benefits, they normally could deal with the negative feelings toward their jobs.
Career structure is another important element in reducing staff turnover. Nowadays, with increased population mobility, people changed jobs more frequently then they used to. If they are not motivated in their present jobs, they probably would go for new challenges in life. So employers should pay close attention to the career development of their employees and confirm their confidence in the future of themselves and the business they work for.
