Dear Sir/Madam

　　I hope you will be able to help me to fill a vacancy that has just arisen in my department.

　　My Secretary needs administrative help on a part-time basis. This will be an interesting post and ideal for someone who wishes to work for only a few hours each week. Applicants of any age would be considered, but willingness and reliability, plus attention to detail, are preferable to someone with high qualifications.

　　Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to work for three hours each morning from Monday to Friday. We would be willing to consider an alternative arrangement if necessary.

　　I propose payment based on an hourly rate of £5 to £6 according to age and experience.

　　Please let me know whether you have anyone on your register who would be suitable.
